Josiane Biwer is a womenswear label based in Luxembourg.
At the heart of every design is a deep love for bygone eras — when femininity was celebrated and sensuality a hidden gem. Yet the work rises beyond the past. It is a play with contradictions and
assemblages, rooted in history and made for today.
The collections unfold in two worlds: Essentials — effortless pieces for every day, turbans and headbands finished by hand — and the Atelier Collection, unique garments crafted as quiet treasures.
The ambition is simple: to help you build a timeless wardrobe that reveals who you are.
My love for bygone eras runs through everything I make. The 1930s, 40s and 50s are my constant inspirations — not as nostalgia, but as a foundation. Some would call
it vintage-inspired, some old-fashioned, some retro. I call it artistry and a profound craftsmanship.
Yet the work rises beyond the past. Each piece is a play with contradictions and assemblages around the female silhouette — rooted in history, made for the woman in front of me.
Every piece I create is dear to my heart and produced with the greatest care. My training in fashion design informs every silhouette, every pattern, every seam — but what drives the work is simpler than that. It is a deep respect for the woman who will wear it.
I work by appointment. Based in Wecker, Luxembourg.
What you wear is the first thing the world knows about you. Before you speak, before you move, a choice has already been made. That choice can be borrowed from a
trend, or it can be entirely yours.
I encourage you to transgress traditional boundaries. To express yourself through what you wear without apology, without fear. To be exactly who you are — and to dress accordingly.
Trends come and go, sometimes faster than you might think. The pieces that stay with you for years are never the ones that followed a season. They are the ones that followed you.
My work does not change on a seasonal whim. It is designed to be a constant companion — made once, made well, made to last.
Everything happens here.
The design, the cutting, the sewing — every step takes place in my atelier in Wecker. Nothing is outsourced, nothing is produced elsewhere.
This is not a marketing position. It is simply how I work. It means you know exactly where your piece comes from, and who made it. It means when something needs adjusting, I am the person you
call. It means the relationship between us does not end at the point of sale.
In a world of fast production and anonymous goods, making something slowly and locally is quietly radical. I think it is also the most natural thing in the world
I work by appointment only. This gives you privacy, time, and the freedom to try, ask, and decide without pressure.
